Reading my
Yuletide gift again, and I still love it, oh my god. Need to rewatch this movie at some point, I think. Sometimes I feel like the hard-on I have for the movie is bordering on ridiculous.
Saw Inception on Saturday, and that was very enjoyable. Looks like Leo DiCaprio is really into the whole mindbending thing atm. I know everyone's been creaming themselves over it, but like with other Christopher Nolan films, I left the cinema feeling slightly underwhelmed, especially given the hype. I loved all the actors in their respective roles (especially Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Cillian Murphy, unf) but the plot didn't leave as much of an impression. The
theory was trippy, but the story definitely had room for improvement. Besides
that moment, I'm just not feeling the mindfuck that a lot of other people are saying. I think people tend to overthink Nolan films, where they're actually fairly straightforward.
Anyway, Kick-Ass is still my favourite movie of the year. Let's see if some of the other movies I'm looking forward to - Scott Pilgrim, Green Hornet, The Social Network - can dethrone it.
