Merry Christmas everyone.

Will be enjoying a sort of on again/off again relationship with the internet until early/mid Jan. And reading lots. And not RPing. And cursing my internet sevice provider to hell and back. And, yeah.

In the festive mood? Liking your Christmas? Don't click here. )

Have sent everyone SMS greetings, before remembering that a lot of these people had gone overseas. Um. I'm just going to go and finish off my chocolate now.

A 'garrrgh'! and a 'grrrr'! to Getty's watermarks. Jenni is now indefinitely annoyed, and will spend the rest of her day talking about herself in the third person.

In other news, Jenni is away for one day, and look what she saw when she got back. She SQUEEs. XA LIVES!

She also wants to perve on Jude Law see I Heart Huckabees.

I need socks. My toes are freezing.

I need to write XMas cards to people.

I need to stop making icons, otherwise I'll go mad. If I do, I blame everything on GJ. So, if I do end up in a mental asylum, you'll know who to sue.

I need sleep.

I need water... no, wait, too late. My throat just died.

I need to stop complaining.

Geh.

EDIT: It seems like Brisbane turned into Melbourne and no one told me. It was fantastically sunny this morning, and absolutely sweltering, then about two hours ago it started to pour, with thunder and lightning and all, and now it's devastatingly sunny again.

Stupid weather.

Did I miss something? Because suddenly it seems like monsson season in a place where you don't get monsoon seasons. Melbourne had flash flooding (from the news), and Brisbane river looks like it might overflow soon too. For the second day in a row my feet are cold and wet. Maybe I should start to wear socks. Now there's a thought!

In other news, I got [livejournal.com profile] cajun_chick411's Christmas card yesterday! Whee! More snail mail!

Mum: look, a letter for you.
Me: *unsuspecting* Hmmmmmm?
Mum: and it's wet. Is it from Japan?
Me: lemme see. Oh. It is wet. *upon further inspection* Whee! It's from Piper!
Mum: who's Piper? Is it from Japan?
Me: no, Piper's a friend from America.
Mum: *suspicious* is it a boy?
Me: er. Not really, no. *prances off to my room*

My Dad's getting a laptop. He doesn't need a laptop. Why is he getting a laptop when he doesn't need one? I tried to talk him onto getting broadband yesterday. Didn't work. He just snorted. I listed all the benefits and whatnot, and all I get is a snort in return.

Yes. My father, for all the intelligence that he posesses, is incredibly silly at times.
heywilma: (Feel my pain)
Sleep makes everything better. Woke up this morning feeling a lot happier than I was last night. Though right now, I'm sort of sick. I think it might've been the dumplings I had for lunch. Now I know that day-old lamb/chives dumplings are best left... not eaten. And it smells disgusting when it's thrown up, too...

EDIT TO ADD: I tried to send Kana (my buddy in Japan) an email, but it wouldn't work. Why must it hate me so? *Woe*

I hate dial-up internet, I really do.

And 97' Bonnie & Clyde by Tori Amos is officially the freakiest song I have ever heard in my life... I must be very sheltered.

Am getting lazy and don't particularly want to go to the year 12's graduation anymore...

The week’s finished before I even registered that it’d begun. Am completely and totally losing track of the time. By this time next week I’d have finished my first 2 Blocks. One of them is summative, and it’ll be Chemistry, my worst subject.

I am seriously considering burying my head in the sand like Barnell an ostrich. Except for the fact that it won’t be too comfortable, so I’ll give it a pass.

Must. Mustmustmustmustmustmust cram study everything. Must.

I will not panic.

I will not stress.

I am not going to fail anything.

There.

On to a slightly more cheerful subject, Travis’ The Invisible Band is my precious CD of the week. By the way, does anyone know what happened to them? I remember one of their songs did pretty well on the charts, and then they just sort of... vanished.

=A random thought= I wouldn’t want to be a podiatrist. Imagine having to spend the whole of your career looking at feet. I wouldn’t be able to stand it. Heck, I can’t stand my own ingrown nails dominated feet.

And this, nicked off someone- can’t remember who, sorry- my accomplishments, or lack thereof... )

My internet connection is dead. Completely and totally ZONKED until next Monday. I am posting this at school. I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed to check my email.

This sucks.

And in other news, I got Jenny's postcard yesterday. Hee, Sheep! :)
heywilma: (Sky is falling)
First of all... )

The second thing... )

Dude. Now I know exactly what is wrong with my dad’s internet account.

NB. Your free account is only for study purposes and therefore has limited access (sorry, no net banking or chat groups).

Which means a few things:
-The download limit is ridiculously small
-The internet hours are ridiculously short
-The internet connection is ridiculously crap
-The conditions are ridiculously fancy
-The University of Queensland is ridiculously greedy
-The said university is ridiculously stingy about their bandwidth
-I can no longer access the internet from home, because our D/L quota has expired, due to excess downloads of images (I blame my economics assignment, which requires a ridiculously large amount of graphs being loaded)
-I now know why I can’t get on AIM or ICQ or WinMX.
-I want broadband internet!!11!

And my dad just came and took a look at the page, and has refuted my suggestion that we acquire broadband internet- because really, that amount of d/ls at that price is not a bad deal.

So I am going to sit here, do my assignment, and sulk.

Little kids are annoying. And my shoulder hurts.

Dentist yesterday. Had to get fillings.

Ugh. Fillings.

The aftertaste was horrible.

Ugh. Aftertaste.

Well. First week of school=over. I have somehow acquired numerous blisters on the soles of my feet, and they are very painful. No I have to walk weirdly with my feet at strange angles to each other.

Yuki sensei (the Japanese teacher from Japan) is leaving next Friday, so we’re going to have a party thingy for her. And Kathy is going to miss her because SHE WON’T BE BACK ON FRIDAY. If Kathy is reading this, COME BACK NOW!!!!

Yeah.

Report cards are coming on Monday, which is good, because then I don’t have to worry about it until that time. But I know all my marks already anyway. And they are quite possibly the worse marks I’ve ever gotten.

Which is not very comforting, and I should be doing my homework right now but I’m easily distracted and… yeah…

I think I’ll go and wallow in my bad marks.

Was Amanda’s Birthday yesterday. And just in case she’s reading this (which she most likely won’t be), HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

That will be all.

I am going to complain about lunch.

The hash browns at the UQ main cafeteria are bluergh. It's all dry and oily, and has no actual potato particles. The chiko rolls are disgusting; I am never buying them again.

Look at me! A random message floating around!

On hindsight, I think I post too much.

I have made a spiffy Ron icon to drool over.

heywilma: (Default)
Bleurgh. Woke up at 6am and threw up. Wasn't pretty. Am feeling much better now. I hate it when that happens. I'm all sick and floppy and stuff, and then 2 hours later, I'm all better. So when mum asks me to vaccum, I can't refuse, because I'm not sick any more.

Vaccum cleaners are the worst invention of mankind.

I hate vaccum cleaners.

You know what sucks? Having a blocked nose and having to get up in the middle of the night to blow it.

And after blowing it my nose was still blocked. So I had to lie in my bed and breathe in through my other nostril, which is really uncomfortable. And it made a funny noise.

Then I had a strange dream, which woke me up at 4am.

I think I will sleep during Chem today.
heywilma: (Default)
I don't know why I'm on the internet when I should be doing my homework.

Bad me!

Yes.

I post far too much.

I am also obsessed with making icons.

GAHK!

Yes. I just felt like doing that.
heywilma: (Default)
I started my first Xmen fic! w00t!

In other news, Blocks loom closer. Huzzah. How exciting. w00t w00t. Yay. At least I only have 4 of them damn things.

Horrible timing of HPPoA: one day before Blocks start. Grrr. Why couldn't it be released on the 4th of June like it is everywher else? Grrr.

This computer is really pissing me off. I think I will kick it.

*Kicks*

Hmmmm, it runs much smoothly now.

16 hours into the 40-hour famine: starting to get a little hungry. Surely there’s a rule against parents buying chocolate the previous day and taunting you by placing the aforementioned chocolate in the most obvious place of the room.

It’s not fair...
