heywilma: (Me!)
Right, well, today, I have an excuse to be here. I am doing educational things such as browsing BlackBoard for last parts of the CML the printer cut off. I damn you, printer. Also, slightly panicky about Assignmenting babble. )

X3 tonight, hopefully.

Few things

heywilma: (Dark.)

  • Job, hee.
  • Dad's an arsehole, nothing new.
  • Icon muse is fickle.
  • Assignments not started.
  • Christopher Gorham is adorkable. Thus making my favourite Buffy episode of season two I Only Have Eyes For You. Does anyone else remember Jake 2.0?
  • Dad = arsehole. It's worth mentioning again.
  • Dreamt about working in a childcare centre on a spaceship. For some reason or another, I got shot at, but Simon saved me.
  • I need to clean my glasses.

    That is all.

To add: Ooo. Wentworth Miller is in the Go Fish episode of Buffy. Does this guy ever have hair?
  • heywilma: (Summer & Sean. Of the non-CSI-ness)
I fucking suck at stats. This is about the third time I've failed a CML spectacularly.

    Ian Somerhalder makes me happy.

    Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Trial was okay, it wasn't all that busy, so I didn't get in anyone's way. Probably hearing back in 1 - 2 weeks.
    heywilma: (So says John Travolta)
Both my parents are obviously menopausal. I plan on ignoring them for the rest of the week.

In other news: 14.85/15 for that HTML assignment that I was bitching about a while back. I rock.

Also. Cillian Murphy wallpaper, because he's pretty. Feel free to take/con crit.

Matt should sit my stats exam for me.

Well. I am the most godawful friend ever. You know what I'm talking about. I really am sorry; you're entitled to brag as much as you want, under these circumstances.

Mum obviously thinks that I have failed as a student.

And I feel like throwing up, again.

    But mahjong makes everything better.

Maybe menopausal women should play more mahjong.

Also should be sending cards sometime soon. But maybe I should write in them sooner. Yes. This arvo sounds good.

    Hmm.

    Well.

I guess... I've finished high school?

It's an odd feeling. Mostly because it hasn't sunk in yet.

And... my arm's sorta sore from having a needle shoved in.

Stef's questions. It took me four tries to not type 'step'... )

    Want me to interview you?
    heywilma: (Pause)
I'm starting to starve myself - not intentionally, hell no - but I've just been really... not hungry for the past four days or so. Possibly it's the weather. Possibly I'm just weird.

So the China-trip is a go-ahead, but Mum and I will have to get vaccinations, including Hep A & B - for whatever reason, I don't know, 'cause I'm pretty sure we're both vaccinated for them already - and it means a no-visit to my parental grandparents, since they live in the country and is surrounded by birds, as well as being dangerously close to a city that has reported outbreaks of bird-flu. We were just talking to them yesterday, and it turns out that the council actually gave them preventative medicine, but they wouldn't take it. Yeah, that's what I call good common sense, y'all. I just hope their immune systems are up to par.

Also: eek. Graduation in 4 days. Five years of high school, leading up to this point in time; it hasn't quite sunk in yet.

Also: currently obsessed with the Jane Austen font. It's lovely.

Logic is done. It has been done since 2 bloody a.m. in the morning. Now, let's never speak of it again.

Eta: Why the hell am I being spammed with porn that has Harry Potter news in the subject line?

    2: third email now. Gah.

And, next time, I am going to note the URLs of all my sources, so I don't have to go bibliography-hunting.

3: forth. This is getting really annoying.
    heywilma: (Feelin' smug)
All of my block exam are over. Over, O-V-A-H!

    *confetti*

As of the 25th of November, I am officially on holidays. You would have no idea how good it feels to say that after three weeks of stressful cramming. :)
    heywilma: (Default)
The week’s finished before I even registered that it’d begun. Am completely and totally losing track of the time. By this time next week I’d have finished my first 2 Blocks. One of them is summative, and it’ll be Chemistry, my worst subject.

I am seriously considering burying my head in the sand like Barnell an ostrich. Except for the fact that it won’t be too comfortable, so I’ll give it a pass.

Must. Mustmustmustmustmustmust cram study everything. Must.

    I will not panic.

    I will not stress.

I am not going to fail anything.

    There.

On to a slightly more cheerful subject, Travis’ The Invisible Band is my precious CD of the week. By the way, does anyone know what happened to them? I remember one of their songs did pretty well on the charts, and then they just sort of... vanished.

=A random thought= I wouldn’t want to be a podiatrist. Imagine having to spend the whole of your career looking at feet. I wouldn’t be able to stand it. Heck, I can’t stand my own ingrown nails dominated feet.

And this, nicked off someone- can’t remember who, sorry- my accomplishments, or lack thereof... )
    heywilma: (The incredible...)
Right. A sum of what I did in school today.

P1: Maths. Was supposed to be doing questions sheet, instead getting distracted by a)conversation that was carrying on around me, b)my calculator- more importantly, what Rosaleen punched into my calculator... I'll get her one day..., c)Shinhwa, and SMAP.

Yes, I was fiddling with Amanda's MP3 player and found a Shinhwa song. And so I had to listen to it, 'cause, you know... so I did. And we started to talk about Shinhwa, and Amanda said that the only person she knows is Minwoo. I was like '!'. And we kep on talking about Korean things, and how Shinhwa was like NSYNC, but better, because they were Korean. And then we talked about Yon-sama, then moved on to SMAP, and then Kimutaku, and then Takeshi Kaneshiro, and then Jay Chou, and then Andy Lau.

And that's how I wasted first period.

P2: Economics. Did a very very very small amount of work, then we started to draw on the desks. There were several things to occupy us. 1)Knots&Crosses. Fundamental, but still fun, 2)drawing degrading pictures of the PM, with his signature eyebrows, and a little sign besides him that says "PM phone Rove!", 3)making little cartoon thingies to fit what the teacher was talking about i.e. hidden unemployment.

And thus, second period was gone.

P3: Chemistry. We never do real work in Chemistry, anyway, and I think I'm a bad influence on Shelly, because I always distract her, because I'll be singing Lion King songs, and Shelly would not be able to help herself joining in.

It's completely understandable, of course, Hakuna Matata is the most kickass song ever.

And with that, third period was over.

P4: Logic. Finite Worlds. Rachel remarked that it sounded like a Terry Pratchett book, which just set us off. I can't even remember what we were talking about. But I do remember it was something to do with Dumbledore's beard and how Tom Felton is extremely hot and how Alan Rickman was better looking in Sense and Sensibility than as Snape. And how Daniel Radcliffe is such a midget, and how the books are so much better than the movies.

Amy asked me to do the crab impression. I didn't do it. Well, okay, I did, but it was in slow motion, so that didn't count. And no one else saw it. Except... 6 people. And they don't count.

//Just finished the Maths Block. Only 4 more assessments to go!//

I think it's sad that even when I have Blocks on, the luxury of sleeping in still eludes me.

And no one will catch me saying this more than once, but I must extend my thanks to my Dad (who, incidently, will not read this entry) and his extensive knowledge of maths.

    The end.

I don't know why I'm on the internet when I should be doing my homework.

    Bad me!

    Yes.

    I post far too much.

I am also obsessed with making icons.

    GAHK!

Yes. I just felt like doing that.

    Mwehehe!

All my tests are over. O-V-A-H.

    It feels gooooood.

    'Hakuna Matata
    What a wonderful phrase!
    Hakuna Matata
    Ain't no passing praise!
It means no worries for the rest of your days
    It's a problem free philosophy...
    Hakuna Matata!'

Man, I really like that song...

I look forward to the day all my assessments end. That would be Tuesday 6th of April, 2nd period.

    After that... all bludge...

I feel sort of guilty for not studying at all (for hell of me I CANNOT remember the stupid cosine rule), but y’ know, TV distracting.

Been watching Survivor last night. It’s quite entertaining, actually. (It’s also a good time filler for the hour between Fraiser and Simpsons) Some of the guys on that show are cute too, so that’s a bonus. But seems like all the cute guys have been voted out. Hmmmm, do I spot a trend here?

Found my collection of quotes from last year… huzzah!

‘When nothing else works, a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will always see us through.’

‘Fate is what you call it when you don’t know the name of the person screwing you over.’

    It’s alllll good ^_^

#Random fact: opportunity cost is simply the alternative forgone#

I’ve forgotten what it means, but it was in my Economics notebook, so it can’t be wrong…
    heywilma: (Default)
Well. That would be the chem test and the econ oral done. No more assessments for the duration of the week! Yay!

    -Japanese listening test
    -Japanese reading test
    -Japanese writing test
    -Maths B assignment
    -Maths B Test #1
    -Maths B test #2
    -Economics oral presentation
    -Economics short response test
    -Logic test
    -Chemistry test

Only *counts* 6 more to go...

P.S. Econ wasn't too bad. The best thing about it is that it's over. The same goes with the Chem test, except for the part where I handed the test paper to the teacher, and realised that I did the last question wrong...

    Eeeek...
