Free comic book day was excellent. Runaways is sex. I love Brian K. Vaughan, even though I can't spell his name right. Pryde/Wisdom is really cute. And I like saving money.

Yesterday was fun. Loot was brilliant. Cillian Murphy still pretty. I can't wait to see Breakfast On Pluto. Climbing trees is fun. There will be icons. Hello Ri.

Dad and I had a talk last night. Well. He talked, and I listened. I was mostly torn between amusement and anger. Amusement because this talk should've come oh, about 5 years ago, because dude, 18, not 8. Anger because... well. My Dad is a dickhead. No other word for it.

How I should study really really hard at school.

How I should "make useful friends".

How I should get a boyfriend who meets their crtiteria. But not now, because I am too young. Obviously.

How I should be more responsible by doing more chores and such.

My dad's not that bad, but the whole boyfriend thing I can totally relate to. Every guy friend of mine that my Dad meets gets the whole "Does he like you?" "What does he do?" "Oh, well he's obviously going to be successful in life, you should go for someone like him". Ack Ack Ack.

But yeah, my parents in general are pretty good, they used to be heaps worse, but now that I'm 18 and going to uni, they've slackened off on a lot of the stuff. I still get yelled at to clean my room though. Fair enough, coz it is a shithole.

Dad has not and will not ever advise me on life choices. I can sorta relate with mum, she has implicity given a few expectations. She thinks way too highly of me though, good in a way, but she'll have clear expectations for any girlfriend I have. Actually, ever since Rachel let mum go first at a parent teacher interview and then got me to tell her about Rachel, she's been telling me I should be going out with her (though not in so many words)...........
