Growing pains. Ohh, I loved that show.

Dude. I’m getting older faster than I thought I would. My brain is working slower. There are just a lot of things to do and the gears are taking its sweet time in processing them.
Now for a list!
I hate it when lists exceed 4 dot points.
Well, Dad and I got into an argument in the car yesterday. What’s new, you say? What’s new is that he changed the subject (I was still huffing a little) and we actually had a civilised conversation about university, and now I know something new about him.
‘Cause I totally did not know that his teacher in high school recommended that he study journalism in university. Goodness. That’s just a weird thought.
Apparently he was absolutely brilliant at writing (I’m sure he was boasting just a little here) and considered applying for a journalism degree. But he thought that he wouldn’t get into the uni, and journalistic jobs were very hard to find, so he did mining engineering instead.
Keeping in mind that his last year in high school was also the last year of the Cultural Revolution, and it would be the first year that tertiary exams were re-instated, competition would have been fierce, so I could see why he went for a maths oriented field.
After that he had a little smirk on and he said, "You’re living my dream."
Which is cute, but very corny.
Also, whenever I see upturned collars now I just have this urge of flipping them down.
