Re-reading Runaways makes me so happy.

The first half of 300 is so good. So, so good. Seeing this movie in the cinema would be absolutely glorious.
And re: Buffy: Oh Joss Whedon. His talents do not lie within comics. I mean, Astonishing X-Men, okay enough book, fantastic one liners, absolutely ridiculous story. Sometimes it gets mindblowingly stupid, especially with this sort of monthly publication thing. When read in TPB, sure, it makes slightly more sense on a grander scale, but even then.
This new Buffy book has potential. I love Jo Chen's cover art, and the Dawn thing is fricking hilarious. I liked their little nod to "The Immortal", too, but as a whole the first issue's a little disappointing; I expected more exposition- I guess that's coming later.
I hate that Buffy's gone commando. It's a rip off of the Initiative, only with super powers, and less cool.
Also not all that impressed with the art. It's not bad, per se, but it could be so much better.
Dammit. Now I feel that I don't particularly want Joss Whedon anywhere near my belovedChase Runaways. [OMG SPOILER]This cover[/OMG SPOILER] scares me a little. What's he doing? What's he doing?
On the bright side! Brian K. Vaughan is doing an arc on Buffy! This fills me with all kinds of happy.
