The lulz that brings me joy.

Apparently it's mating season already, 'cause the birds down by the lakes are being chased. (And I do mean birds - as in the feathery winged things) It's hilarious because the fat ones wobble dangerously when they run, and are pretty much adorable.

The first so-bad-it's-good movie I've seen in ages: The World Sinks Except For Japan. Though slightly bordering on so-bad-it's-just-plain-bad, it's funny enough if you're multitasking, so that you won't be bothered by the nonexistent plot or atrocious acting, and just have a good laugh.

Believers and non-believers, I'm sure many of you have already read these, but [livejournal.com profile] cleolinda's recap of Breaking Dawn is bloody amazing. You can tell by the recaps that it's an awesome awesome book, and although my usual policy has been don't knock it til you've tried it, I think it can be waived this once for the Twilight series.

I was in Borders the other day, purchasing what is turning out to be quite a good book (The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen). Anyway, I was all lined up at the information desk when a pack of 12/13yr old girls (dressed like 18 yr old girls) saddled up and typed Breaking Dawn into the computer before debating between them whether or not to ask if it was in store. This was on August 3rd.

Girls: "C'mon, just ask, it says on the computer..."
Me: *Interrupting* "Umm, sorry but.. *points to poster not 2m away* I think you may have to wait until tomorrow"
Girls: Oh.... *group huddle and walk away*

This was when I decided that the twilight series is not for me. It was an interesting reminder of how girls work when they're 12 years old though.

Does that movie have anything to do with the Sinking of Japan movie? Cause that would bring so much lol. (Have you also seen that movie? :D)

I want to name my kid Edwob. And then I would call him Wobbie for short. Or long, as the case may be. >.>
