SM is sort of famous for screwing over their talent. They've got a rep for it now! But Geng is totally their key to the China market though, and Suju-M's popularity basically rests on his shoulders, so they better start playing nice with him soon.

They thought Henry was going to be the 14th member, so there was the Only 13 protests, and yelling "only 13" at him whenever he performed, etc., until it culminated in a whole bunch of the fantwats pooling their cash together so they could buy a share in SM stocks and thus have some creative control over SuJu or some shit, I didn't exactly follow the logic there. o_O The bullying drove me crazy. Especially when Henry is so adorable, who could hate anyone with cheeks like that?!
Fic recs, I have a shit-tonne of stuff in my memories under the 'fic recs- sj' tag. Some is great, some is probably dire as it's from back in the wee days of Western SJ fandom when the fandom basically didn't exist, but it's there. TV shows, YouTube can probably help you out, if not I can dig up download links, but 'Full House' (SuJu have to look after and live with two female foreign exchange students for three months) and 'Exploring the Human Body' (...SuJu do dumb shit to 'test' the human body) are some of the greatest videos everKanye. 'Adonis Camp' is pretty lol-tastic too. Watching their retarded TV shows is seriously the easiest and most fun way to learn their names and quirks though.

OMG, SO. I have nothing particularly constructive to add to the conversation (randomly, I turned on the TV this morning and Geng was on it, doing a challenge for charity and being cute – they seem to be having reruns of all the weekly shows, and he guests a lot. NOT COMPLAINING), thought that I'd just point out how deep I am in this right now AND I BLAME YOU: I was up until 2am last night watching this and trying not to laugh too loudly. My goodness, boys.
Also, I can now recognise Han Geng, Henry, Zhou Mi, Siwon, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun \o/
eta: 1. I guess that leaves Donghae, and that I know who he is by process of elimination. 2. After watching the Super Girl MV, Kathy commented that Siwon looks like Chuck Bass XD

XD So you're seven down - when you get to the main group, Heechul is easy to learn because he's the girly bitchy one, Shindong is easy to learn because he's the big funny one, and Leeteuk is easy to learn because he's the one full of botox (see - icon) - at that point you're nearly there. XD

You will never know how much I laughed at this. OMG. PERFECT. It's made 100x funnier because Siwon is actually like a rich heir or something, and his father strongly disapproves of him being in a boyband. The comparison is almost too easy. (except Siwon is actually like, a sweet Christian boy, and not a crazed drunken manwhore. Too bad.)
