Apparently bacon is low GI

I am a little puzzled, because lately I've been totally uninterested in food. And by food I don't mean the three-square-meals-a-day kind of food, but the snacks and junk that I'm normally really fond of. There is ice cream in the freezer, chips and chocolate and sunflower seeds in the pantry, and normally I'd be all over that (like a rash, to quote Sonja), but now I just find myself hankering after some salad. With maybe a little bacon. Which I made. It's lentil salad and it's delicious.

This is weird but awesome, since if I can curb my addiction to snack food I may not die of complications after surgery to cut off my foot because of diabetes. That sentence was overly wordy but I don't care.

In other news, I need to get some more paid time for LJ soon.

In other other news, a bunch of us watched Twilight on the weekend. It was so bad and I have no idea why it's doing better than Quantum of Solace at the box office. Actually, I know exactly why it's doing better, but I do so enjoy italics to emphasise my indignation.

I'm rather amazed that we got ice-cream two weeks ago and I've only had some once. Of course, one of my brownies gave me a box of Cadbury Favourites last week, and I've been steadily working my way through it since, so I can't claim to have developed junk-food-resistance.

I'm of mixed opinion on whether I'd see Twilight, just as I'm of mixed opinion on whether to read it. Either way, I certainly wouldn't pay for it.

You could combine chocolate and ice cream into one huge pile of awesome and deliciousness?

And Twilight, well. I also want to read it to form my own opinion? But everything I've heard about it really turns me off.

Yeah, I kinda want to read it because I want to see why so many people love it and why so many people hate it. But then again it sounds so dreadful that I kinda don't want to sully my mind by reading it. Dreadful, I know.
