I was in Borders the other day, purchasing what is turning out to be quite a good book (The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen). Anyway, I was all lined up at the information desk when a pack of 12/13yr old girls (dressed like 18 yr old girls) saddled up and typed Breaking Dawn into the computer before debating between them whether or not to ask if it was in store. This was on August 3rd.

Girls: "C'mon, just ask, it says on the computer..."
Me: *Interrupting* "Umm, sorry but.. *points to poster not 2m away* I think you may have to wait until tomorrow"
Girls: Oh.... *group huddle and walk away*

This was when I decided that the twilight series is not for me. It was an interesting reminder of how girls work when they're 12 years old though.
